opportunities

At D’ARTillery, we foster an environment that emphasizes the common threads that unite us all. This vision is realized through our three primary programs: Thread & Thrive, the Language Lab, and Woventures. Each program is tailored to empower participants, helping them build the skills and confidence necessary to succeed in their personal and professional lives.

we prepare Skilled Talent

Our Thread & Thrive is a comprehensive series of textile art and sewing training designed to equip participants with the skills and confidence to craft finished products to support commercial small batch production. Our sewing classes go beyond the needle and thread – they're a creative journey where skills are honed, and confidence is nurtured. Class levels include:

  • Beginning Sewing: Open to all, even those with no sewing experience

  • Intermediate Sewing: Sewing skill assessment required

  • Industrial Sewing: Sewing skill assessment required

D'ARTillery sewing series provides textile art and industrial sewing training to our participants. These skills can be leveraged to improve their economic prospects, whether it’s through a cottage business where they sell their textile arts or by acquiring a job with a local company where they utilize their industrial sewing skills for small batch production.

Our Goal

Create a Community of Respect

We provide our program participants a female-only environment that allows them to form friendships and feel culturally-respected, so they can gain the skills and opportunities we provide without concerns from their family and community.

Connect Participants to Economic Opportunities

We partner with local businesses and organizations to provide our participants a path to entry in skilled manufacturing jobs or textile arts entrepreneurship.
