Language Lab

Our Language Lab is more than a traditional ESL class. In collaboration with Detroit Public Schools Community District and Global Detroit, we integrate digital literacy into our program, allowing you to navigate a new language and the digital economy and access more opportunities in employment and entrepreneurship.

Fanta’s Story

Armed with a dream to build a fashion business rooted in modest wear, Fanta joined D’ARTillery through our partnership with Common Bond and a previous program with Global Detroit. Following those programs, she continued her training and work at D’ARTillery, deepening her technical sewing skills and creative practice through multiple sewing courses and hands-on support.

After her training, Fanta launched Manni Jannah, a modest wear brand offering clothing, jewelry, and accessories. Over the past three years, D’ARTillery and Common Bond have supported Fanta with her technical training as well as her brand launch.
