D’Artillery Sewing Class Policy.
D’Artillery sewing classes are for adult women ages 18 and older, unless a class is specifically designated for youth, teens, families, or another special program.
By registering for a class, you agree to the policies below.
Registration & Payment
Full payment is required to reserve your seat. Class sizes are limited, and registration is confirmed once payment is received.
Registration is for the class or full class series listed at the time of purchase.
Cancellations, Refunds & Class Credit
Your registration reserves a limited seat and allows D’Artillery to schedule instructors and prepare for the class in advance.
Cancel 7 or more days before the first class for a full refund.
Cancel more than 48 hours but less than 7 days before the first class to receive a class credit.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the first class, no-shows, and missed classes are non-refundable and not eligible for credit.
Once a multi-week class begins, tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Class credits must be used within 3 months of the original class date and are subject to class availability.
Make-up classes are not guaranteed.
If D’Artillery cancels a class, students will be offered a replacement date, class credit, or refund.
Attendance & Late Arrivals
Please arrive on time and plan to attend all scheduled sessions.
Sewing instruction often builds from one class to the next. Late arrivals may miss demonstrations or have less time to complete their work.
Class time will not be extended for late arrivals.
Students who miss a session are responsible for catching up on missed instruction. When space and instructor availability permit, D’Artillery may offer a make-up opportunity; however, make-up classes are not guaranteed.
Sewing Machines & Equipment
D’Artillery provides sewing machines and standard studio equipment unless otherwise stated in the class description.
Students may bring their own sewing machine with prior approval from the instructor. Students who bring personal machines or equipment do so at their own risk.
D’Artillery is not responsible for loss, theft, damage, malfunction, maintenance, or repair of personally owned sewing machines or equipment brought into the studio.
Students are responsible for knowing the basic operating condition of any personal machine they bring to class.
Materials & Supplies
Materials included with registration will be identified in the class description.
Some classes may require students to purchase or bring fabric, patterns, notions, or other supplies. Please review the class description and supply requirements before attending.
Fabric, colors, prints, and other materials supplied by D’Artillery may vary based on availability.
Projects & Skill Level
Every student learns and works at a different pace. D’Artillery cannot guarantee that every student will complete a project during scheduled class time.
Students should register for the class level that best matches their experience. When prerequisites are required, they will be listed in the class description.
Instructors may adjust projects or instruction based on skill level, available materials, and the pace of the class.
Studio Safety
Sewing classes involve sewing machines, needles, irons, scissors, rotary cutters, and other tools and equipment.
Students must follow instructor guidance and studio safety procedures at all times.
D’Artillery may restrict a student's use of equipment or participation if a safety concern arises. Repeated failure to follow safety instructions may result in removal from class without refund.
Studio Conduct
We ask everyone to help maintain a respectful, welcoming, and productive learning environment.
Disruptive, threatening, unsafe, or disrespectful behavior toward instructors, staff, or other students may result in removal from class without refund.
Food & Beverages
Food and beverages may be permitted in designated areas.
Please keep food and drinks away from sewing machines, irons, fabrics, patterns, cutting surfaces, and other equipment.
Personal Property
Students are responsible for their personal belongings, including phones, purses, clothing, fabric, supplies, sewing machines, and other equipment.
D’Artillery is not responsible for lost, stolen, misplaced, or damaged personal property.
Photography, Video & Privacy
Students are welcome to photograph their own work and class experience, but we ask everyone to respect the privacy of others in the studio.
Please do not photograph, record, livestream, or post identifiable images or video of another student, instructor, staff member, or guest without their permission.
Photography and recording should not interrupt instruction or create a distraction or safety concern. D’Artillery may ask that photography or recording stop at any time to protect the privacy, safety, or learning experience of others.
D’Artillery may occasionally photograph or record classes for documentation, social media, or promotional purposes. If you prefer not to be photographed or recorded by D’Artillery, please let our team know.
Accessibility & Accommodations
If you require an accommodation or have an accessibility need that may affect your participation, please contact D’Artillery before your first class whenever possible so we can determine how best to support your participation.
Class Changes
D’Artillery reserves the right to change an instructor, adjust a class schedule, or reschedule or cancel a class due to low enrollment, instructor availability, severe weather, building conditions, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
If D’Artillery cancels the entire class and an alternative date does not work for the student, a refund or class credit will be offered.
Agreement
By completing registration, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agree to the D’Artillery Sewing Class Policy.
